Blue Origin builds rocket engines in Huntsville. Its Engines Factory in Cummings Research Park, opened in February 2020, produces the BE-4 for New Glenn and United Launch Alliance's Vulcan and the BE-3U for New Glenn's upper stage, and its Jemison Manufacturing Facility in Jetplex Industrial Park produces BE-7 engines for Blue Moon lunar vehicles, the Blue Ring spacecraft and thrusters. The company hot-fire tests engines on the historic Test Stand 4670 at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center on Redstone Arsenal, and in May 2026 it said it had more than 1,600 employees in Alabama.
