Jacobs
Jacobs is an engineering, consulting and advisory company headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with about 43,000 people (10-K, fiscal 2025). Since spinning off its government services businesses to Amentum in September 2024, it focuses on infrastructure and advanced facilities: water, transportation, energy, environmental work, life sciences and advanced manufacturing. The listings on this page come from Jacobs's own careers site.
In Huntsville, AL
In October 2026, the Huntsville listings on Jacobs's careers site were data center roles: construction and project managers, commissioning specialists, and mechanical, electrical and piping engineers and designers working for hyperscale and AI data center clients, some of them on-site. The government services work Jacobs once did in Huntsville belongs to Amentum now: Jacobs spun off its Critical Mission Solutions and Cyber & Intelligence businesses into Amentum in September 2024, and Jacobs Technology Inc., which NASA selected in 2017 for engineering and science services at Marshall Space Flight Center, is a wholly owned Amentum subsidiary. Look under Amentum for that work.
