Lockheed Martin has had a campus in Huntsville since 1963, a 57-acre site on Bradford Drive in Cummings Research Park where it said in 2023 it employed about 1,800 people. Work there includes the Army's Long Range Hypersonic Weapon, the Next Generation Interceptor, THAAD and C2BMC missile defense, and Black Hawk and Future Vertical Lift. The campus added a missile defense engineering lab for the Next Generation Interceptor in 2023 and a Hypersonics System Integration Lab in December 2025.
